About Your Library
We have been using the Infiniti library management system at The Westwood Academy since March 2021 – 5 years. Our library has a fair amount of space, which is shared with classes for computer access, with ages ranging from 11-16 years. The main focus is on providing a choice in reading for pleasure, tapping into an interest in studying, especially for new students, and researching information. A lot of stock in the library is based on what the students would like to read, to encourage continued interest.
Why You Chose Infiniti LMS
Before I came to The Westwood Academy, I was in the public library service for nearly 20 years. Infiniti had already been chosen to be installed in the school library, but I have found Infiniti to be the easiest platform to understand and work with.
Impact on Day-to-Day Library Work
I have found that with Infiniti, there is always a way to make it work in a way that suits your own personal way of working. I love the fact that emails are sent without me having to chase any students.
Impact on Students and Staff
I have seen that students are more engaged with what they are borrowing from the library. Also, the importance of returning books on time, thanks to the automated overdue emails.
Favourite Features
Infiniti is the simplest library management system to use. There are so many paths to help me find my way around; the interface actually guides you along. I found that having a person to email and bombard with my questions really helped, too!
