Infiniti School Library Management System

What is library management software or LMS?

Library management solutions play a crucial role in enhancing the overall efficiency and organisation of library operations, streamlining tasks such as cataloguing, circulation, and resource management. By automating and simplifying these processes, libraries can operate more effectively, allowing staff to focus on providing better services and support to users.

Additionally, these solutions encourage students to engage more actively with library resources, fostering a deeper love of reading and learning. Easy access to a wide range of materials promotes exploration and curiosity while also supporting the development of essential independent learning skills.

By encouraging students to take ownership of their learning, library management systems help cultivate critical thinking, research abilities, and self-directed study habits, all of which are vital for academic success and lifelong learning.

What is Infiniti?

Infiniti is our intuitive, easy-to-use library management solution. Created to provide a stress-free experience in every school library. It works alongside LibPaths™ which serves as a gateway for students who might not normally engage with a traditional library.

What makes Infiniti different to other LMS systems?

Infiniti stands out from other Library Management Systems (LMS) due to its 100% cloud-native architecture, intuitive interface, and customisable features. Unlike systems adapted for the cloud, Infiniti was built specifically for it, eliminating the need for additional apps, downloads, or software updates.

Its user-friendly design makes it easy to learn and use, while offering powerful automation capabilities to streamline library tasks. Infiniti also provides enhanced security, seamless cross-device accessibility, and the ability to create curated content portals through LibPaths™, encouraging student engagement and supporting curriculum planning. With transparent pricing and exceptional customer support, Infiniti offers a comprehensive, future-proof solution for modern school and college libraries.

Can I access Infiniti from anywhere?

Yes. All our personalised online portals are accessible to library users on any internet-enabled device, with no need for additional apps or downloads, giving them instant access to learning resources. Infiniti is fully responsive, ensuring seamless compatibility across all device types and automatically adjusting to fit any screen size, whether on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

Can I personalise Infiniti?

With a selection of fonts, colours, and a wide range of other design options, you have the flexibility to fully customise the look and feel of your system. Whether you’re looking to match your existing branding or create a unique visual identity.

Is it easy to make the switch to Infiniti?

Absolutely! The system has been engineered for easy integration, ensuring that users can switch over without interrupting workflows or needing technical expertise supported by a knowledgeable and friendly PSP team.

Library Security & Stock Control

Why do I need a library security system?

Libraries have a diverse range of materials that can be of significant value. The presence of a security system helps in safeguarding your resources from theft or, more commonly, inadvertent removal, and can avoid the costly and time-consuming task of replacing stolen or mutilated materials. Security systems can play a big part in creating a secure and well-managed library environment, which enhances the satisfaction of your users as they can rely on the availability of resources.

Which is the best security system for my library?

Our unique eRLS RFID Smart Library Stock Control System is suspended from the ceiling to provide you with a discreet and unobtrusive library security solution. Alternatively, our Orbis Library Security Gates have a sleek, modern design that fit in with any library aesthetic. Both systems provide you with complete peace of mind that your library stock is safe and secure and you know where it is.

Any effective security system should not interfere with the library’s core goal of offering a user-friendly environment so PSP provide a no-obligation visit where our expert team of library consultants will discuss your requirements and expectations, and recommend the best option for your library and your needs.

Do I need to tag or re-tag all of my library stock?

If you are changing over to a new system for your library or have a brand new library to secure then you will need to tag your stock. This may sound daunting but we suggest initially tagging your most valuable, vulnerable and new stock. Tagging is also something our team can assist you in. Please visit our library consumables page if you are in need of smart tags for your library.

Can I protect library assets that are not books?

With RFID, particularly our cutting-edge eRLS solution, you can tag just about anything! There are a number of tags that can be used on laptops, monitors, keyboards, and even staplers! Please visit our library consumables page if you are in need of smart RFID tags for your library.

What will happen after my enquiry?

Initial discussions and/or a visit to your library will give us an indication of what your security requirements are and we will be able to provide you with a quote based on the information gathered. Once accepted, a site survey will determine whether any of the elements of the proposed system need to be amended to give you the best fit for your needs. Learn more about our process here.

You will also be allocated a project manager who will oversee your project from start to finish. Your project manager will liaise between you and the PSP team to make sure that every stage of your project runs smoothly, from the initial welcome email through to the follow-ups that will take place post-installation.

What about training for my new library solution?

We have an unlimited staff training policy. So from the first email, you will always be supported in the use of your new library system. No query is too small, too big or too silly! We offer a time convenient to you and this can sometimes be done remotely.

How do I protect my new library security and stock control system?

All of our systems come with a 1-year warranty as standard. Once that expires, we have a number of different service plans designed to suit your needs. We will contact you before your warranty runs out to discuss your options.

How do I enquire about a new security system for my library?

Getting in touch couldn’t be easier. You can fill out the enquiry form on our contact page and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. You can also email info@psp-assetprotection.co.uk or call 01473 745375.

Can I pay for my new eRLS system in instalments?

Yes. If you are a qualifying educational institution, we are happy to provide Extended Payment options which will allow you to spread the cost of your best-in-class eRLS stock control and security system over 3 years. Find out more here.

Our Service Plans

Why do I need a service plan?

A service plan can provide financial savings, convenience, extended protection, enhanced performance, increased longevity, and more predictable budgeting. Whether or not a service plan is right for you will depend on your specific needs, the type of product or service you are using, and your tolerance for risk.

How do I get a service plan?

Before your warranty or current service plan expires, you will be contacted by a member of our team offering you the most suitable plan for your system.

Which service plans are available?

Our most popular service plans offered are Platinum, Platinum Term Time and Platinum Plus. Platinum Term Time is aimed at schools with school term dates in mind. Understanding the different types of service plans can help you choose the best option for your needs. All of our service plans include a dedicated response time, remote technical support and unlimited staff training, alongside other benefits. Download our brochure for further details.

What if I don’t want a service plan?

While opting out of a service plan may seem like a way to save money initially, it can lead to significant expenses, inconvenience, and stress in the long run. Having a service plan ensures regular maintenance, access to support, and financial protection against unexpected costs. A service plan is designed to provide ongoing maintenance, support, and protection for your system. Without a service plan, you may encounter various challenges and increased costs. Our service plan brochure outlines the potential consequences of not having a service plan.
