SLA Weekend: Empowering All Pupils for the Future
We’re pleased to say we’ll be exhibiting in the Supplier Showcase at the School Library Association’s Annual Weekend on 23rd & 24th June 2023. This year’s theme is ‘Empowering All Pupils for the Future‘ and is aimed at all those interested in reading in schools, information literacy and the school library.
The Supplier Showcase for the weekend actually takes place on Thursday 15th June 2023 at 3.30pm so we’d love it if you could join us to learn more about our market-leading, cloud-native library management system Infiniti and virtual learning portals add-on LibPaths™. We’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you might have about our range of school library management solutions, including the aforementioned Infiniti LMS, LibPaths and PSP’s cutting-edge library security systems.
Following a successful return to an in-person event in 2022, the weekend course moves online for 2023 to ensure people can join in from anywhere. Some SLA branches (including Bristol, Bradfield, Steyning and Farnborough) will be providing a “viewing hub” so if you’d prefer to meet with other delegates in person rather than from the comfort of your home, that’s also an option.
This annual weekend course for school librarians is an excellent opportunity to listen to experts, creators and fellow library staff to learn, network and think about the future of your library and how this vital resource can be used to empower learners.
Confirmed speakers include Jeffrey Boakye, Kristabelle Williams, SF Said, Simon James Green, Adrian Bethune and more. The full programme of events, activities and competitions taking place across the 2 days can be found here.
Part-time teacher, author and founder of Teach Happy, Adrian Bethune, will be delivering a session on wellbeing in education for both students and staff. While Kristabelle Williams will be delivering an eye-opening session on the rights of the reader and how to ensure that you’re opening as many doors as possible for them. As usual, there’s lots to tune in for, making this an online event not to be missed.
In the meantime, if you need assistance with making your school library more efficient, why not speak to us to see how we can help? Our consultancy is informal, totally free and there’s no obligation to pursue anything beyond our initial chat.
