YLG Conference: Reading for Wellbeing – Virtual Sponsor

We are proud to be sponsoring the YLG Conference 2024: Reading for Wellbeing on 28th and 29th September at the Double Tree Hilton in Glasgow.

We will also be participating in the accompanying virtual exhibition that will run from the event weekend until the end of December 2024. Last year, the Youth Libraries Group Conference was comprised of a series of successful virtual mini-conferences, but it’s great to be back to an in-person event this year in the heart of Glasgow’s beautiful city centre.

The theme is ‘Reading for Wellbeing’ and delegates can take part in a wide range of sessions across the weekend centred around this theme, including diversity, inclusion and what reading does to the brain, mind and body. Sessions will be led by subject matter experts and some well-known guest speakers, including recently appointed Children’s Laureate, Frank Cottrell Boyce, and Irish author, Patricia Forde.

The conference kicks off with a cocktail evening on Friday 27th and there will also be a dinner and awards presentation on Saturday 28th. Did you know, the after-dinner speaker will be none other than Team GB Olympic Legend Fatima Whitbread, author of children’s picture book ‘My Bright Shining Star’?
