PSP Joins the Crescent Purchasing Consortium for the Education Sector

Rounding out the year on a high… We are very pleased to announce that PSP Asset Protection has been named as a supplier on the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) ‘Library Resources, Software and Associated Services’ framework, specifically ‘Lot 4: Library Software’.

Crescent Purchasing Consortium is an education-owned charity that gives back to the sector. To date, CPC has designated £1.3 million of funding to 134 educational institutions across the UK.

CPC aims to be the procurement services partner of choice for the education sector, providing outstanding procurement services to its 1,000+ members and clients. You can learn more about the CPC’s excellent work here: https://www.thecpc.ac.uk/

We are, of course, very proud to be a CPC Supplier for our best-in-class school library management software Infiniti.

Infiniti is a powerful, customisable and highly intuitive cloud-native library management system that aids library efficiency and encourages students to develop a love of reading, as well as core independent learning skills.

When used in conjunction with LibPaths™, our virtual learning hub, library teams and curriculum leaders can create curated content portals on a huge range of subjects to support the school curriculum and attract students who might not otherwise engage with a traditional library. Infiniti and LibPaths can be accessed anytime, anywhere and on any device.

PSP’s Managing Director, Nick Hunt, had this to say about being awarded a place on the prestigious CPC Framework:

“Being invited to join the Crescent Purchasing Consortium’s Framework was a real feather in our cap. Education is one of our primary sectors and we’ve been working with school librarians and library management teams since PSP was founded back in 1978. We’ve always tried to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to library technology, on a mission to help our customers design and build the school library of the future! Infiniti is the perfect example of that.

“Unlike many library management systems on the market, our Infiniti library software is 100% cloud-native. It was built for the cloud, not adapted for it. This means no additional apps, downloads, software updates or hidden add-ons. While apps can feel “clunky” with a steep learning curve, Infiniti is sleek, intuitive and very easy to use.”

In addition to the CPC Framework, PSP has also been accepted onto the G-Cloud 14 platform. G-14 is an online catalogue for all public sector organisations and charities, including central government, education, health, local authority and blue light services.

PSP has been listed as a supplier of cloud-based computing services, which covers hosting, software, cloud support, and many off-the-shelf, pay-as-you-go cloud solutions.
